When you casually head to the grocery store to pick up some milk, you probably don’t expect it to be a place you’ll end up getting high off your chops.
But that’s exactly what happened at a supermarket in Turangi, New Zealand, after police started burning an illegal haul of marijuana they’d acquired.
Stupid, stupid move.
A Facebook user uploaded a video of the incident to Facebook, noting that “the carpark next door (sic) is FULL of cars sitting the smoke!!! Only in turangi!!”
In the video he says: “Man, does it smell like the old ganja over there. In fact, here comes a good cloud wafting past now. I might just stand here for a little while.”
New Zealand police have apologised for the bizarre gaffe.
In related news, we’re expecting sales of potato chips at that supermarket to reach an all-time high.
