We’re hearing more and more about the benefits of using a standing desk at least part of the time if you spend considerable hours in front of a computer screen. But standing desks can be expensive, and you typically don’t want to stand all the time.
The new Sit-to-Stand Workstation, a first of its kind from StarTech.com, offers an alternative, converting virtually any traditional sitting desk into an upright standing desk. “It’s easy to integrate into a conventional seated work space, without the disruption or expense of replacing your current standard-height desk,” said StarTech.com Product Manager Jordan Hamm in a press release announcing the new workstation.
The Sit-to-Stand Workstation provides one-touch height adjustment, with an advanced pneumatic spring for effortless movement between sitting and standing positions. It’s made of high-quality steel and can be easily installed and removed without damaging the original desk. There’s a large workspace, and you can attach a dual-monitor arm if you have such a setup. The Sit-to-Stand Workstation doesn’t have any preset heights but is adjustable up to 16.6 inches.
