The OnePlus 2 can be deemed an industry veteran, being available for almost 8 months now. However, the market is quickly changing. With the arrival of the Xiaomi Mi 5 today, the OnePlus 2 faces some serious competition from its fellow Chinese manufacturer. So we decided to compare the hardware of the OnePlus 2 with the freshly released Xiaomi Mi 5, which is priced at Rs 24,999 (32GB), while the OnePlus 2 costs Rs 22,999 (64GB) (no invite needed).
In terms of specifications, there is no doubt that the Xiaomi Mi 5 trumps the competition by a fair margin. However, the OnePlus 2 can be bought without an invite or a flash sale, which is perhaps the only advantage it enjoys over the Xiaomi offering. The Mi 5 is slightly smaller in size, which makes it easier to carry around. As for availability, the Mi 5 will be sold in a flash sale via mi.com starting April 6. The handset will be subsequently available from other retailers as well.
