Apple on Friday revealed the India pricing of the iMac Pro, and stressed that the all-in-one iMac design is targeted at those looking for workstation-class performance. The Cupertino-based giant has currently announced the base version of the iMac Pro in India with a price tag of Rs. 4,15,000.
It comes with a 27-inch Retina 5K display and under the hood, is powered by an octa-core Intel Xeon processor. The all-in-one also sports Radeon Pro Vega 56 graphics card and comes with 1TB SSD. There’s 32GB of DDR4 ECC RAM on-board.
The device sports 1080p FaceTime HD camera and comes with connectivity options like four USB Type-A ports, four Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, SDXC card slot, four microphones, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also comes with the standard Ethernet port.
The iMac Pro will come with Space Grey Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2, according to Apple. The company adds that a Lightning to USB cable will ship in the box.
“iMac Pro combines the incredible design of the iMac with the most powerful workstation architecture we’ve ever built,” said John Ternus, Apple’s vice president of Hardware Engineering. “iMac is the most popular desktop for our pro users due to its amazing display and elegant design, so we completely re-engineered it to deliver performance far beyond what anyone thought possible in an all-in-one.”
With iMac Pro, Apple claims video editors can edit up to eight streams of 4K video, or edit 4.5K red RAW video and 8K ProRes 4444 at full resolution in real time without rendering. The iMac Pro can also export HEVC video 3 times faster.
