Indian Air Force pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman arrived home yesterday and Twitter was abuzz with the celebrations of the IAF hero’s release from Pakistan.

After spending tense months because of the Pulwama terror attacks and Balakot air strike, Indian’s could finally breathe a sigh of relief after Abhinandan entered the Indian border.

From Bollywood celebrities to Indian politicians, each and every Indian citizen welcomed Abhinandan home. Even the official handle of ISRO’s Mars Orbiter took part in the celebrations, tweeting, “We are proud of you #WingCommandarAbhinandan.”

And their thoughts were reciprocated in the comments on tweet by the citizens of the country, who hailed Abhinandan for his bravery.

While some said that they were proud of the wing commander, some praised ISRO for the tweet and that they are proud of the organization too.

Abhinandan Varthaman had been taken into custody after aerial engagement between Indian Air Force and Paksitani Air Force. However, as a goodwill gesture, he was sent back to India yesterday.
